Katsu is my canine partner in work, travel and life. Katsu working at Yellowstone - 2009 He has been trained using the AKC Canine Good Citizen Principles, PSD Dogs Public Access Standards, Leerburg's How to Train a Working Dog Series and allot of patience and straight mistakes on my part. Even with so much working against me, he fully believes I am trained enough now to go in public on occasion. And a subject I like to mention is how I feed him - I feed Katsu 2lbs of RAW uncooked chicken quarters, with a side of 2 uncracked eggs, a cup of yogurt, some supplemental fish oil and fiber additives. When I got him he was a solid 87lbs now he's a lean 71 lbs, very healthy and HAPPY about his meals, he looks at doggie chow as his last resort if ever. See Leerburgs Canine Naturopathic and Healthcare Products sections for the B.A.R.F. diet hints, how to's and books to read to start this truly natural way of feeding. If you do your homework its actually cheaper than the so called "good" dog kibble and the part that you have to scoop up stinks far less and actually vaporizes in your yard after a couple of days. Keeping and training a service dog is allot of work and has allot unexpected of financial costs, if you can please donate we both would greatly appreciate it! |
